We are looking for an exceptional director to lead the design and delivery of our Fellowship Programme.

The Fellowship sits at the heart of our work, so you would also play a key role in the wider development of the Institute including as a member of our senior leadership team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Programme design

  • > Lead the end-to-end design of the programme 􏰀 ensuring it continues to be at the cutting edge of thinking and practice around leadership development, organisational change and responsibility
  • > De􏰁velop and refresh each 􏰂year􏰃s programme based on 􏰄what 􏰄we are learning􏰅 and to ensure it is addressing the most significant social and environmental challenges facing organisations and society
  • > Bring a sophisticated point of view to programme design whilst proactively seeking and incorporating input from diverse sources, including from our faculty, facilitators and Fellows
  • > Design programme sessions and development experiences that impact not just on individual Fellows, but also their teams. It is important to us that the programme is not just a powerful individual experience but has wider impact on others and over time leads to significant organisational and societal change
  • > Bring creativity and flexibility to events; adapting plans quickly when necessary to offer blended, online, hybrid and face-to-face options as appropriate
  • > Foster community, connections and shared purpose between Fellows

Delivery and facilitation

  • > Take responsibility (with the Deputy Programme Director) for the overall Fellow experience, all programme activities
  • > Chair plenary and smaller discussion sessions 􏰀 including hosting residential experiences
  • > Lead the process around selecting and onboarding new Fellows (working closely with our organisational relationships team)
  • > Lead our team of expert facilitators, supporting them to excel as individuals and as a group
  • > Oversee the creation of an impactful set of resources to support the programme experience and to help Fellows take conversations and learning back to their teams and wider organisation
  • > Build relationships with the Fellows and support them in their exploration of responsible leadership. Help them to evolve their leadership habits, and to make progress in their areas of change
  • > Chair meetings that bring together Fellows from the same organisation with theirExCo level Sponsor to strengthen their ability to translate learning into their leadership in practice, and to unlock wider change
  • > Work closely with our Director of Research (Prof. Veronica Hope-Hailey) to lead our efforts to understand and capture the programme􏰃s impact

Strategy and wider development

  • > Lead the ongoing long-term development and strategy for the Fellowship programme and strengthen its connections with all the other Institute􏰃s areas of our work
  • > Work closely with the Fellowship Network Director and team (who manage ongoing relationships with Fellows beyond the programme) to integrate Fellows on the programme with our wider long-term community of 500+ Fellows
  • > Take overall responsibility for the Fellowship Programme budget and have a point of view on wider Institute investment decisions
  • > Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the Institute 􏰀 helping us to achieve our purpose of making responsible leadership the onl􏰂y leadership􏰆 The Fello􏰄wship lies at the heart of the organisation􏰅 so it􏰃s key􏰂 that it intersects with all our other areas of work

  • > You are experienced in programme design, You bring your own creativity and viewpoint whilst enjoying taking input from a diverse range of sources
  • > You enjoy long-term planning, but also detailed events and session design, and providing different solutions to last minute changes (especially in this uncertain world!)
  • > You are skilled at helping groups of people align around goals, and understand how to create the best conditions to allow Fellows to speak openly in front of each others
  • > You􏰃􏰁 have helped lead change.􏰆 Ideall􏰂y 􏰂you ha􏰁ve e􏰊xperience in a large organisation and understand w􏰄hat it takes to really make change happen in large corporate environments
  • > You have considerable experience of managing events, understanding everything about what makes them successful􏰆 You􏰃ll consider e􏰁er􏰂thing from the 􏰁enues to use􏰅 right do􏰄n to small logistical details and ho􏰄 to build energy in the room
  • > You are skilled in blended learning formats and have confidence in delivering online, hybrid and face to face events as well as developing blended learning materials and activities
  • > You are passionate about what we are trying to do, have a serious interest in responsible leadership and are curious about what is going on in the world to bring wider trends into the programme
  • > You have an aversion to jargon, provide clarity in complex situations, and focus on what really matters
  • > You are ambitious, motivated by bold ideas and big goals􏰀 and are restless in pursuit of impact
  • > You would love to help grow a successful social enterprise with big ambitions to have a meaningful impact on the world
  • > It would be a bonus if you can bring international perspective to your work and/or are thoughtful around the growing questions and challenges of responsibility around technology

Salary: £90k+, based on seniority and experience

Type: Our preference is for this to be a full time role 􏰀but our priority is to get the right person so we would be open to a discussion around a more flexible arrangement

Start date: Ideally May or June 2022
