Since its founding in 2017, WeRoad has evolved from an initial startup to a dynamic, ambitious team of nearly 70 people from Italy, Spain, the UK, and beyond. Despite the pandemic, we are experiencing exponential growth in Italy and Spain, and are poised to continue this success in the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE: WEROAD UK FINANCE MANAGER

Location: UK, London

Reporting to: Head of Finance (Milan based) and International Expansion Director 

• Prepare the UK monthly management accounts and ensure reporting deadlines are met;
• Responsible for the calculation of revenues and VAT;
• Responsible for the bookkeeping of supplier invoices;
• Responsible for cash flow and cash management;
• Prepare the UK Official Accounts;
• Responsible for ABTA/ATOL reports and ensuring deadlines are met;
• Manage and control all local costs;
• Be the contact person of auditor and tax advisor;
• Work cross-functionally between the global finance and other business teams, developing key relationships and influencing multiple levels of the business
• Be the point of contact and reference point for the UK rated People & Culture-specific activities
• Take a proactive approach to report, system, and process improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in global finance function;
• Support group financial departments with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests, as required

The ideal profile we’re looking for:

• Qualified with AAT/ACA/ACCA
• Previous experience in the travel industry is preferable
• Knowledge of TOMS scheme preferable
• +2 years experience in an accounting role
• Ability to be flexible in a changing environment and work to strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Xero would be an advantage
• Ability to work hard as part of a growing team
• Proactive and able to show initiative to constantly improve finance processes
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects with competing demands at the same time
• Ability to liaise with financial and operational management across the group

• Advanced Excel skills
