About the Role
We are looking for someone to step in and lead our marketing function. This is a new and exciting role - you'll be responsible for attracting new members to FLOWN, helping to drive product engagement, and growing the FLOWN brand.
This is a great opportunity to join the founding team of a well-backed company that is transforming how people think and work. You'll work closely with proven Founders, alongside a great team, and be given lots of autonomy to shape and grow the marketing function.
Responsibilities
Here's some of things you'll be be responsible for:
- Designing and executing a strategy that will attract people to FLOWN's website, and convert them into paying subscribers. This will include tactics such as PR, paid social, paid advertising, partnerships, and referral/affiliate schemes etc.
- Guiding the Content team in designing and implementing strategies that will increase weekly engagement and minimise churn.
- Actively monitoring and analysing data to identify key insights and opportunities to optimise growth and engagement tactics.
- Leading a small team in designing, executing and managing all marketing activities.
- Identifying and developing relationships with like-minded partners (eg complementary businesses and communities, influencers, etc) in order to identify opportunities to promote FLOWN, and deep work practices in general.
- Managing our PR agency such that FLOWN is positioned as a thought-leader in deep work, and attracts new members.
- Identifying other opportunities to position FLOWN as a thought-leader in deep work e.g. competitions.
- In time, evolving marketing strategies so that they are targeted at businesses and position FLOWN as being a meaningful employee benefit.
- Supporting the Founder in evolving the FLOWN brand.
Requirements
We think you’ll need the following experience in order to succeed in the role:
- B2C experience - specifically, marketing a subscription product to individuals.
- Working for an early-stage businesses, independently designing and implementing growth strategies.
- Exposure to a range of marketing tools and tactics e.g. CRMs, social, paid, referral, PR etc.
- Experience growing memberships through partnerships.
- Experience in designing and managing a successful B2C referral programme.
In addition, here are the core attributes we think you'll need to succeed in the role:
- Growth strategies - you know how to design marketing strategies that will attract, convert and retain individual members to either an online subscription product. You take a very scientific and methodical approach to this.
- Analytical - you are comfortable using a range of tech products to export and analyse data to form insights and recommendations.
- Creative - you come up with innovative ideas that rely on a range of mediums in order to stand out in the market, and position FLOWN as an authoritative provider of tools that enable people to think and work more creatively and productively. You have excellent instincts when it comes to UX/UI and conversions.
- Collaborative - you work well with internal teams and third parties, and know how to brief and guide them in the execution of your strategies. You are a strong negotiator and relationship builder.
- Resilient - you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, early-stage startup environment. You are able to juggle many things at once, and can quickly plan, execute, learn, iterate etc.
