Salary: Salary up to c. £49k per annum dependent on experience and qualifications

About the Team
Oxfordshire Mind has been rapidly growing over the last five years and doubled in size since April 2020. We currently have 250 staff and continue to grow.
During this time of change we have worked with consultants and interims to deliver the HR function and various projects including implementing HRMIS, reviewing contract and right to work compliance and improving DBS and GDPR processes.
We recently secured approval for our permanent HR structure, and we are now looking for a high calibre Head of HR to join us on a permanent basis.

Purpose of the Job
People are the heart of who we are and what we do. Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of HR will oversee all HR issues and lead on people strategies, learning and talent management whilst being hands on across the organisation.
You will be responsible for driving efficiencies and innovation, shaping the people agenda including wellbeing and EDIE, and ensuring the organisational structures and processes can facilitate stable and rapid growth, whilst improving focus on our people.
The jobholder will provide strong, credible leadership to the HR team utilising a collaborative coaching and development approach and will foster continuous improvement to facilitate creative and innovative solutions.
You will also manage a small but growing team, overseeing all HR activities embedding our values into day to day working practices, establishing a high level of professionalism, and maintaining a positive, proactive and flexible approach to HR activity within this dynamic environment
Key responsibilities may include:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, processes and services aligned with our overall strategy and vision
- Staff Wellbeing strategy and Chairing the Staff Wellbeing Action Group
- Lead the HR function and team
- Be a pro-active member of the Senior Management Team.
- Ensure high quality delivery of HR responsibilities including policies and processes, HRIS, resourcing, reward, employee services, management development, employee relations and learning
- Embed a co-productive approach with partners, managers and leaders to achieve strategy and targets
- Monitor and provide insight and guidance on the effectiveness of people management practices / processes via a range of KPIs
- Support change initiatives
- Be an influential and visible figure in the business driving improvements forward in relation to people and culture
- Budget management and oversight
- Ensure compliance for HR aspects of the Mind Quality Mark.

Person Specification / Selection Criteria
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of strategic and hands-on HR leadership and CIPD Level 5 or other degree in HR related field.
- Experienced in leading and building a high performing team
- Experience of securing engagement from staff, managers and department heads - the successful candidate must be happy to develop these relationships right at the start and must be people oriented
- Project and budget management and monitoring including use of KPIs
- Significant relevant experience and knowledge across wide range of HR disciplines including learning, resourcing, HRIS and talent
- Practical knowledge and experience of GDPR, HRIS systems and databases
- Credible in working with senior leaders and influencing business outcomes
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task in an organised manner displaying excellent time management skills
- Strong MI reporting, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence to present and articulate (sometimes complex) information in a simple and concise way, with exceptional professionalism.
Desirable
- Experience of charity or not for profit environment
- CIPD level 7/ MCIPD qualified
