About the role
Over 80% of Arbor’s revenue and customer base is made up of complex accounts comprising secondary schools, academy trusts and large groups of schools. As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a named group of these accounts to ensure their commercial success and ambassadorial role with Arbor. You will work alongside the Partnership Manager at handover and the Programme Manager during implementation, and then own the relationships for the rest of an account’s life with Arbor- hopefully many many years!
Core responsibilities
Strategic relationship, including periodic review, single point of contact for the key stakeholders in that account, and Arbor’s go-to for the account
Termly calls and/or on site visits with top tier customers to review customer health and happiness (and scope out potential revenue opportunities)
Need identification, including training and consultancy needs, and product needs in partnership with the Head of Product. Understand the various services we offer (Training and Consulting Services and Licence options) to ensure that we are supplying the right services to meet the customer’s varied needs
Upsell - ensuring the account grows >10% per year and renews
Identify and grow opportunities for MAT expansion, managing new MIS sales within existing Arbor MATs
Churn and Risk escalation- first point of call for senior risk notification. Renewals at >98% by revenue
Reference: over 50% of Key Accounts should be Ambassadors (under Arbor’s discounted Ambassador scheme), and all should be progressing towards being Ambassadors with a clear plan
Cash collection. Finance will send invoices, but any chasing will be done with input from the Key AM, either to review payment terms or to insist on payment against delivered scope
Work alongside the Customer Team to maintain customer health - ensuring our customers feel valued but also to identify and respond to commercial opportunities
Support Partnership Specialists & Partnership Managers on introducing prospects to top tier Ambassador customers
Work with Third Party Support partners to maintain and grow revenue in supported accounts
About you
Strong Commercial acumen. The ability to challenge client thinking and build strong relationships as a trusted advisor
Experience in the education sector as a school leader or technical specialist in a central MAT team
New and upsell sales success track record

A passion for school improvement based on a belief that Arbor does transform how schools work
Project leadership experience a benefit
