About Unmind

Unmind is a workplace mental health platform. We empower employees to live more fulfilling and balanced lives by changing the way organisations around the world think about mental health. We believe that everyone has the right to a healthy mind – because we all have mental health, all of the time – and we’re striving to create a world where mental health is universally understood, nurtured, and celebrated.

In the past 18 months, Unmind has grown from a 30 person team to a fast-growing, 180 person global organisation with offices in London, Sydney, and New York. With the recent announcement of our Series B funding, we're looking forward to our next stage of growth which will enable us to deliver on our mission to improve the mental wellbeing of ten million people in organisations around the world.

We have ambitious plans to change the perception of mental health and we still need help in achieving them – which is why we’re looking for an exceptional individual to join as an Organisational Psychologist.

Uniting Behind Uniqueness

We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work. However you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, we welcome you to apply for a role at Unmind.

If there are any adjustments that would help improve your experience with Unmind, please do let us know when you apply.

We also believe our interview process should be inclusive and transparent. Find out what to expect and more about our commitment to diversity on our candidate FAQs page here. As always, if there is anything missing, or you've identified a way we can improve, just let us know!

The Role – Workplace Psychologist

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical, occupational, or organisational psychologist to join a forward-thinking team who are working to change the face of mental health in the workplace.

With a passion for championing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, you’ll sit within the Science team, and you’ll work closely with our Product, Content and Commercial teams.

Bringing strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience to complement the expertise of our existing team (comprised mainly of clinical psychologists), you’ll play a key role in developing our workplace offering. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that Unmind are market leaders, with the most engaging, evidence-based, impactful offering.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • CREATE: Oversee the creation of innovative, evidence-based platform content, aimed at promoting cultural change around mental health in the workplace. This will include content tailored to employees across all levels of an organisation, including managers, executives and mental health champions.
  • DRIVE INSIGHT: Collaborate with key stakeholders to evolve our data-driven, evidence-based insights and recommendations, ensuring we help our clients effectively build mentally healthy cultures.
  • PRESENT: Host thought-leading, engaging workshops and reflective spaces to inspire and empower audiences (clients, users and our wider ecosystem), covering a range of topics related to mental health at work. And you’ll provide some bespoke consultation to clients within our portfolio, sharing contemporary theoretical knowledge on mental health at work.
  • COLLABORATE: Team up with our Product, Content and Commercial teams to ensure that our delivery remains a truly world-class experience. You’ll also harness the expertise within your wider professional network, bringing credible experts on board to consult with us.

Skills and Experience

We firmly believe that no-one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. However, some experience in the following is important for the role.

We're looking for people who are:

  • MSc or doctorate in occupational/organisational or clinical psychology, with at least 2 years' experience in an industry setting.
  • Good understanding of the systemic influencers of workforce mental health.
  • Strong professional network, and an ability to identify and evaluate the credibility and suitability of subject matter experts.
  • An in-depth understanding of the nuances of inclusion and diversity in a workplace context and demonstrated ability to apply this in practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content, and in presenting (either virtually or in-person) as a subject matter expert.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to express thoughts to a range of stakeholders.
  • Passionate about mental health, tech-for-good, and generally improving people’s lives.
  • Comfortable working in an environment of rapid growth, constant change, and lots of unknowns.
  • Hungry to make Unmind the global category leader of workplace mental health.
