We’re hiring a Technical Writer.
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to create technical documentation, which will be the central repository for information on systems, teams, concepts, and processes in Tech, Analytics, and Product (TAP).
About us
We’re here because we believe in small businesses. We believe they deserve better than waiting weeks for a loan. And we believe it’s our job to help them grow.
We started in 2012 with these principles, and we hold true to them today – now that we’re one of the fastest-growing fintechs in Europe. In the time between, we’ve built the best tech platform in lending, won several awards and opened up £3.5 billion in loans to over 70,000 businesses.
So what’s next? Our mission now is to help one million businesses who need us. To do this, we’ll need new products and partnerships. But most of all, we’ll need smart, hands-on people to join us on the journey and get us to our goal.
Your mission
- Produce high-quality documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on product and documentation requirements.
- Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
- Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
- Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
- Create and maintain the information architecture.
- Edit, clarify, and enhance documents written by engineers.
Requirements
- Significant commercial experience in a technical writing position with a tech scale-up.
- Academic background in a technology or numerate discipline.
- Excellent organisation, project management and project prioritisation skills.
- Ability to process complex technical concepts into approachable documentation.
- Outstanding English language written skills & verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with the SDLC and software development.
We’d still love to hear from you if you don’t hit every point on the list, or if you have other experience.
