About us
We’re here because we believe in small businesses. We believe they deserve better than waiting weeks for a loan. And we believe it’s our job to help them grow.
We started in 2012 with these principles, and we hold true to them today – now that we’re one of the fastest-growing fintechs in Europe. In the time between, we’ve built the best tech platform in lending, won several awards and opened up £3.5 billion in loans to over 70,000 businesses.
So what’s next? Our mission now is to help one million businesses who need us. To do this, we’ll need new products and partnerships. But most of all, we’ll need smart, hands-on people to join us on the journey and get us to our goal.
Your Mission
We work with a host of commercial finance brokers and business advisors across the UK to offer finance to their clients, and this channel generates a substantial proportion of iwoca's total revenue. As a Broker Relationship Manager, you'll be excited at the prospect of building iwoca’s presence across the UK via proactive engagement and activation of existing iwoca brokers.
Along with this your role will involve:
- Researching and searching for, acquiring and building new relationships with relevant brokers both by face to face, telephone, LinkedIn and email
- Educating brokers to ensure they send us relevant customers and documentation
- Organising and conducting broker regional events and webinars
- To maximise target contribution through calling and converting approvals from their panel, gathering feedback on these offers from brokers.
- To develop an understanding of iwoca's systems, processes and policies so that you can best advise the broker
- Collection of competitor intel through broker discussions, and presenting this back to the wider business to develop and improve our product offering.
Requirements
- 1+ years relevant experience, ideally dealing with third parties
- Ability to organise, prioritise and manage tasks and diary
- You'll have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal with a professional phone manner
- Competent in preparing and delivering meetings and presentations in person and virtually through webinars
- Not adverse to travel - the role will require you to travel via car and/or train and may involve overnight stays
- Pride in personal contribution but also a team player
- A ‘people person’ who is genuinely interested in developing relationships
- Previously demonstrated ability to take on new responsibilities or tasks and complete them to a high level
- You will be required to be in the office a minimum of one day per week
Don’t take this list as prescriptive: it’s just to give you a sense of who might do well at the job. We’d still love to hear from you if you don’t hit every point on the list, or if you have other experience.
We work hard to make iwoca a place where everyone feels welcome - we want everyone to confidently be themselves. For us, diversity isn't an optional add-on. It's the thing that makes us great.
