Job Summary

A fascinating and challenging role planning totally unique adventures from the ground up in some of the most exciting parts of the world. An ideal position for an individual with a passion for adventure and travel looking for an opportunity to demonstrate worldly knowledge, flexibility, proactiveness and truly outside-the-box thinking.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team and wider projects team to create, identify and plan and deliver exceptional travel itineraries for clients
  • Build strong relationships with external subject matter experts from around the world to meet client’s needs, ensuring that each detail is executed to the highest possible standard
  • Negotiate and build longstanding relationships with third party suppliers and operators
  • Support the Projects Team with logistical elements of trips. This includes but is not limited to complex itineraries, contingencies and failsafe procedures and equipment sourcing
  • Support the Project Managers in all aspects of logistics and costing of trips Be responsible for all aspects of logistics and costing of some smaller trips, with the oversight of a member of the Projects Team
  • Responsible for elements of financial ownership, including keeping detailed log of expenses incurred, ensuring all equipment is sourced in a timely and cost-effective manner, appropriate financial buffers are in place and contingencies are in a clear and understandable format
  • Ensure all communications, safety procedures, permits, travel requirements and insurance are in place where relevant
  • Undertake financial ownership for ensuring funds are received in a timely manner and oversee all payments to suppliers, consultants and relevant third parties, all whilst safeguarding margin targets where possible
  • Work alongside Project Managers to ensure workload is allocated appropriately
  • Liaise with clients to ensure direction and detail of expeditions. Ensure the highest standards are achieved when dealing with clients’ requests
  • Pro-actively creating new and exciting ideas, experiences, adventures for Cookson Adventures clients
  • Manage itinerary aspects on larger Cookson Adventure projects, in conjunction with project managers
