Community Growth Coordinator (digital)

Fast-growing platform that connects teachers and international schools seeks experienced marketing leader to develop the community

Teacher Horizons is seeking a proactive, self-motivated person with lots of initiative and energy to lead our community development and marketing. Your role will be to build and grow our community and manage our Community Growth Team. This is a key role in the organisation with the potential to develop significantly as the organisation grows. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead on growing and developing our community of teachers
  • Lead on marketing and communications (both online and offline)
  • Create and implement a digital marketing and SEO strategy
  • Develop and make use of appropriate metrics to measure growth and evaluate success (Domain Authority, Ahrefs Rank, Authority Score, page views, conversion rate, etc.)
  • Use a data-driven approach to help improve existing site content, develop new content, build links, improve metrics, and drive more traffic to www.teacherhorizons.com
  • Manage four members of the marketing team and assist with hiring when necessary
  • Oversee and be responsible for our social media content across all platforms
  • Develop and manage link-building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presence
  • Help develop engaging online marketing content and campaigns such as photo competitions, videos, graphics, and blogs
  • Attend team meetings and coordinate with the CEO and other colleagues
  • Develop relationships with influential people within the industry

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in marketing, community building and digital marketing
  • An excellent understanding of SEO
  • Excellent data analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
  • Excellent written communication in English
  • A proven track record for improving company performance and ranking on key performance indicators such as Google Analytics or Alexa rankings
  • Proactive approach with a growth mindset
  • Ability to work flexibly and to be adaptable
  • Strong sense of personal integrity and buy-in to Teacher Horizons’ values and vision
  • A confident, resilient and positive person with a ‘can-do’ attitude

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz for performing link analysis, keyword research, and competitor analysis
  • Have a BA/BSc degree in Marketing or a relevant field
  • An understanding/experience of international education
  • Experience in international travel and experience promoting locations
  • Experience with WordPress
