The role
We are looking for a People Manager to help us build a culture where our employees excel, helping to ensure they are motivated, engaged, and developed to fulfil their potential. You will help develop our managers to have the tools to manage their teams effectively. Working with our HR Partner (HR Patch), you will be the main point of contact for all People Operations.
- Coach and support managers on people-related topics, such as performance management and team development.
- Contribute to building a talent pipeline and support Pact employees in their development, according to the business needs.
- Assist managers with their recruitment needs, helping to identify candidates who align with our values.
- Manage the twice-yearly appraisal process, including creating a PDP process (Personal Development Plan).
- Conduct surveys to understand motivation levels and identify concrete areas for improvement.
- Review our B-Corp score for the employees' area and identify improvement initiatives.
- Ensure world-class onboarding of new starters & offboarding of leavers.
- Review and maintain Pact Perks and full benefits package, including the company’s share option scheme.
- Create a diversity and inclusion strategy to help make Pact a diverse workplace.
- Create a social committee to plan a social calendar for the year.
- Take responsibility for all elements of the Bermondsey Head Office including communal food & drink and the overall physical appearance.
- Manage the relationship with our IT Support provider, ensuring employees have appropriate IT equipment.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- You have a passion for developing people and are comfortable training others.
- Previous experience in a people-focused role.
- Resourceful and creative with budgets (understands the budgetary constraints of an SME).
- Works well independently as this is an autonomous role.
- Be able to work from the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with one day from home.
