THE ROLE

We are looking for a Talent Investor Principal with proven track record and outstanding achievements in a business or tech related field. You will lead an investment unit of 2-4 people and you will be responsible for driving investments into exceptional individuals and the companies they build at EF. 

As a Talent Investor, you will need to develop strong hypotheses around talent clusters and venture building, and execute against these hypotheses with an ability to continuously adapt and improve.

You will work closely with the local Partner & General Manager, the local Platform team and your global peers across Europe, Asia and North America.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- You will develop your own talent investment thesis on different talent verticals and profiles, and you will foster the aspirations of high potential talent within specific clusters and communities,with compounding network effects. You will be the face of EF within these communities and you will manage and build peer-like relationships with valuable gatekeepers at the highest level, including community leaders, university professors, but also angel and VC investors.

- You will be responsible for identifying and attracting 30-50 exceptional individuals per year to build globally impactful tech startups. You will meet exceptional people, talk to them about their ambitions for the future, and take them off the beaten path.

- You will support these high potential individuals as they progress through their entrepreneurial journey, from teambuilding and ideation to raising money from the best investors in Europe and the US. You will help them build the strongest possible teams, and encourage them to be as ambitious and productive as possible.

- You will be a core contributor to our investment decision-making. You will be evaluating which individuals we should invite onto the EF Programme. You will continuously evaluate the potential of teams formed at EF, and decide whether we should invest in companies built by individuals you and your team brought onto our programme. You will work on your ability to predict who will be successful over the long term.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

- You have 6+ years of experience, ideally a mix of strategy and execution, with proven track record of overachieving

- Through your education or your work, you have been exposed to clusters of extremely smart and talented individuals

- You have a strong interest in frontier technology companies and trends, and when presented with a project or technology, you demonstrate intellectual curiosity to understand it in concrete terms

- You have gained expertise in company building and early stage investment - ideally, you have been a tech startup founder or an early operator in a high growth startup

- You are a compelling communicator and you are happy to speak in front of audiences of 50-100 people

- You demonstrate a strong growth mindset and bias to action and you actively seek ownership

- You have high EQ and a customer centric mindset,and you enjoy developing and driving relationships

- You are an expert problem solver witha results-oriented approach

- You have outstanding organisational skills and are comfortable with managing competing priorities
