Regional Specialist, Singapore & Malaysia

The role

As a Regional Specialist with The Learning Adventure, you will have a vital role in your region in planning and operating our educational tours. Singapore is becoming a very popular destination for our school trips and someone with excellent local knowledge and contacts is vital to help build our presence in the region. Working remotely in Singapore, you will be part of an international team which has its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. There may also be a small crossover supporting our sister company tours, The Dragon Trip.

You would combine a 3-day flexible remote position in Singapore with guiding any upcoming tours in country.

Responsibilities: 

• Researching / recommending tour components for upcoming tours in Singapore and surrounding countries (including hotel, transport and activity components)
• Completing quote requests and budgets for parties interested in trips to Singapore
• Guiding tours as an Adventure Leader for The Learning Adventure
• Assisting with Adventure Leader recruitment
• Supporting with emergencies for tours in Singapore / Malaysia
• Assist bookings team when needed

We are looking for a new member who: 

• has excellent spoken and written English language skills
• located in Singapore
• has excellent knowledge of the travel industry in Singapore, Malaysia and surrounding area
• has guided educational tours
• is a team player
• has high attention to detail 
• is organised and able to balance a reactive workload together with ongoing projects 
• demonstrates initiative and creativity – for finding solutions and for developing original ideas 
• has strong writing skills
• has a confident, clear and approachable telephone manner
• is proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Additional Asian languages is a plus
