Our Membership and Communications Manager
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Membership & Communications Manager. You will have an interest in people, hospitality, events and storytelling; and be able to constantly seek innovative ways to enliven and connect with our global community.
Working as a key part of an in-house Communications team, reporting to the Head of Communications, you will be responsible for communicating and delivering the membership proposition, and growing and retaining our community of members both online and ‘IRL’. The role requires a confident individual with an eye for detail, brand and audience, and the expertise to find new opportunities for growth; building effective strategies to raise awareness, acquire new leads and develop deeper relationships with target audiences according to short- and long-term business objectives.
You will need to be both strategic and creative, implementing comprehensive external communications that span across the sectors of tourism, hospitality, food, drink and retail. You will utilise a range of platforms to achieve your goals, from digital to printed media, events and activations, engaging existing audiences while constantly thinking of tactical ways to acquire new ones.
From supporting events to handling PR requests and briefing the design of promotional materials, this diverse role incorporates a variety of activities that make up everything we do here at The Newt. Key Responsibilities:
- Promoting and developing The Newt’s membership proposition
- Engaging and communicating with members to grow and retain the community
- Developing and creating member-led digital content
- Developing bespoke events, collaborations and opportunities for members
- Supporting brand website management, ensuring content is updated and accurate
- Working with Head of Communications and PR agency to support media enquiries
- Working with Events Manager and Head of Programmes to deliver the annual estate programme
- Working with retail and ecommerce teams to deliver members’ only offers and exclusives
- Ensuring hotel guests understand and appreciate the value of membership
- Recording and evaluating member feedback
- Analysing and interpreting member data to improve the proposition and experience
- Ensuring that internal departments and stakeholders understand the membership proposition, and that their service offerings and standards are aligned accordingly.
