Role Summary

  • Support around 60 post-16 participants across regions.

  • Conduct regular 1 - 1 and group sessions in person and online.

ThinkForward is a charity that exists to support young people to create better and brighter futures. We aim to help them identify, realise and shape their aspirations and be ready to make a successful transition into work. We focus on young people experiencing barriers such as challenging relationships, living in low-income households, or growing up in areas with a lack of access to opportunities. Our ambition is to prevent young people from becoming part of the unemployment statistics. By 2025, we will be supporting more than 1,500 young people.

The role of our Community Coach is to support around 60 post-16 participants across regions, ensuring the quality and impact of the programme is delivered and successful relationships with partner further education providers and businesses are maintained. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with young people, assessing the needs of the young people, using outcome data to design tailored action plans, holding regular 1:1 and group sessions with young people in person and online, and ensuring young people engage with opportunities provided by third parties including employers and partner charities.

Job requirements include the ability to build and maintain relationships with young people, assess their needs, design tailored action plans, hold regular 1:1 and group sessions, and ensure young people engage with opportunities provided by third parties.
