  • The Head of Philanthropy is a critical role driving Hatch's fundraising initiatives. In particular, you will spearhead Hatch's maiden three-year fundraising campaign set for early 2026.
  • This role is a 12-month maternity cover contract which necessitates the crafting and execution of efficient fundraising strategies while managing relationships with donors and unearthing new funding opportunities.
  • You'll work hand in hand with the Director of Fundraising & Engagement to ascertain the success of our initiatives.
  • The perfect fit for this role will have previously secured six-figure donations in the charity or not-for-profit sector besides having excellent relationship cultivation abilities.
  • You should be a skilled planner, organized, and a fluent communicator who can create appealing funding proposals and manage intricate funding relationships.

The role: As the Head of Philanthropy, you will be instrumental in leading our fundraising efforts during a crucial time as we prepare to launch Hatch's first three-year fundraising campaign in early 2026. This position is a 12-month maternity cover contract, where you will be responsible for creating and delivering fundraising strategies, managing relationships with donors, and securing new funding opportunities. You will work closely with the Director of Fundraising & Engagement to ensure the success of our initiatives.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in securing six-figure donations within the charity or not-for-profit sector, excellent relationship-building skills, and a strong ability to plan and organize. You should be a confident communicator, capable of crafting compelling funding proposals and adept at managing complex funding relationships.
