Role Summary
- Manage continuously the review, design, streamlining and integration of the internal communication channels.
- Lead narrative development and messaging for high-stakes internal issues.
- Report directly to the Global Head of Communications.
- Provide oversight for team professional development and advise on resourcing requirements.
Role Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree
- Skills in Project/Program Management, Strategy, Messaging, Writing & Editing.
- Background knowledge in International Development, Communications or similar field.
- Experience in project management, team leadership, stakeholder engagement and risk management.
- Excellent relationship building skills.

About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.
The Role In this role, you will lead continuous review, design/redesign, streamlining, and integration of internal communications channels, while supporting senior leaders with the right messaging and narrative development for high-stakes internal issues. You will report to the Global Head of Communications. You will manage the Internal Comms sub-unit and oversee team professional development and advise on resourcing needs.
Job Requirements A Bachelors Degree is required. Technical skills: Project/Program Management, Strategy, Messaging, Writing & Editing, Training, Stakeholder engagement, People & Team management, Risk management. Knowledge: Background in International Development, Communications (or similar). Excellent relationship and trust-building skills, with the ability to lead and influence across various levels of the org, especially with senior leaders. Experience in project management around directing different teams and driving toward results across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
