Role Summary

Role Requirements
- Strong analytical and financial experience, including financial modelling capabilities.
- Commercial acumen with a customer and product focused mindset.
- Experience in preparing analytical reports that drive business decisions.
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and bring constructive challenges.
- Leadership skills that align with our mission and values.
- Knowledge of retail banking products and pricing, cloud computing and tech costs, and team leadership are all plus points.

⭐️ About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager who will be responsible for understanding, reporting and analysing costs at a strategic level, partnering with business and finance teams. The right candidate will enjoy supporting the business with new initiatives as well as building business cases, presenting & debating investment choices and is comfortable with both digging into details and thinking about the big picture. The role is not focussed on cost-cutting, but rather applying an analytical approach to ensuring that we have adequate resources to deliver against the needs of our hypergrowth business, and achieve the best cost/benefit for the services and products that we procure.

- Being a strategic business partner to Senior leadership in non-revenue functions (Operations, Technology, People, etc.)
- Supporting business owners in achieving their budgets, building efficiency plans jointly to reach Group objectives and ensuring these are managed in line with business plans
- Challenging the current cost structure, driving investment decisions toward smart, efficient and scalable solutions
- Preparing management information, insights & reporting to senior leadership team, highlighting emerging issues & potential future challenges
- Developing cost performance reporting and routines, dashboards and scenario-planning tools
- Collaborating with broader FP&A team to understand and explain cost performance and variances to plan as part of overall performance tracking

- High analytical and deep financial experience, including financial modelling capabilities
- Commercial acumen combined with customer-centric and product-centric mindset
- Experience of preparing analytical reports that drive business decisions
- Ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders, as well as bringing constructive challenge to stakeholders
- Values-driven leadership
- Knowledge of retail banking products and pricing is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud computing and tech costs is a plus
- Passion for team leadership and experience managing teams is a plus

📍This role is based in our London office, with a hybrid working environment with flexible working from home arrangements and some in-person attendance. We're open to distributed working within the UK (with the expectation of occasional work from our London office for key meetings).
