What will you be doing?
What will you be doing? We are an educational charity engaged in providing summarised, comprehensive and free information about plastics pollution, helping to bridge the gap of misinformation to create action, inspire, drive conversation and collaboration in an impactful way. We would like the volunteer to:
Perform a social media audit: assess the current state of our social media pages and make recommendations on how we might improve our presence and engagement and where we might focus our efforts. Help us engage our service users by creating a compelling social media strategy Include content so that we can effectively promote our current project Produce examples of fresh and engaging content for our social media channels
You will be working with one of our trustees who will provide any background material you will need.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a volunteer who:
Has a basic understanding of climate issues Has at least 6 months experience of writing and editing marketing content across all platforms Has at least 6 months experience of building strategies to increase social media following Has at least 6 months experience of creating content calendars to help plan social media activity Has the ability to quickly understand the needs of our organisation Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements Understands the resource constraints of a small charity and can work within these
What difference will you make?
Your input will make a radical difference to the amount of traffic driven to our new project website. It will transform how we present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders and general public and make the project that much more sustainable.
