    πŸ– Flexibility
I can complete my hours when I want within the week.

    β›‘ Employee wellbeing
Buttercup offers a subscription to 'Calm' so that employees can get professional support when needed. Rachel encourages us to take time for ourselves, and I feel is always there to talk to for any reason.

    πŸ“– Opportunities to learn
We are always getting opportunities to take part in courses or learning sessions. I also feel like working for Buttercup I learn something new all the time, whether that be from Buttercup's own content or the software I am using.

    Overall

Buttercup has provided me with an amazing opportunity to grow professionally as an Illustrator, with Rachel being a great support and employer. The content that the company creates and the way it is created is in line with the mission to be sustainable and ethical, and is great fun for me to illustrate for!!

    πŸ– Flexibility
I have a set amount of hours a week, which can be done anytime/anywhere I choose. This works great for my lifestyle and doesn't mean I miss out on important life stuff.

    πŸ“£ Mission & Purpose
Working towards a greener planet, through educational resources for children and families.

    πŸ‘ Inclusivity
Everyone is treated the same, the company prides itself on diversity and inclusivity. Wanting to cater to everyone, no matter their genders, race, ethnicity, sexuality or type of lifestyle.

    Overall

I love the flexibility of hours, I can be remote. Healthy work environment and employees are really well looked after. Mental health is extremely important in Buttercup and that is vital for me.

    πŸ“£ Mission & Purpose
Committed to the wellbeing of the planet and humanity - providing inclusive educational resources on sustainability, biodiversity and nature, Buttercup practices what it preaches. In particular, the website is sustainably designed, green-hosted and carbon offset. All of the educational posters are plastic-free and 10% of sales are donated to Windle International to help provide education and training for children and young people in refugee camps and communities in Eastern Africa.

    β›‘ Employee wellbeing
From my experience Buttercup is really invested in the wellbeing of its employees and Rachel really cares about ensuring we feel happy, healthy and supported. In particular, we have weekly team meetings to check in with each other and offer feedback and support, we are offered 1 month Headspace subscription upon request, we're encouraged to take sick days when we are feeling unwell and we're offered 1-2-1 Be More Happi coaching on request. Open conversations about mental health and maintaining a healthy work-life balance are encouraged. We're encouraged to take holiday to relax and recharge and we're able to work flexible hours - giving us time for hobbies, exercise and self care.

    πŸ‘» Transparency
We meet every Friday to discuss progress, challenges we are facing and offer each other feedback and support. Rachel talks really openly about who she is meeting and working with. She passes on the main points from work-related meetings. She is transparent about the financial side of the business too - for example where we are with securing investment and services the company can and can't afford. From the beginning, Rachel has been transparent about when I'll be paid, the length of my contract and how likely it is she'll be able to extend it.

    Overall

Buttercup is mission-oriented and built on really strong ethical values. Everything about the way it operates is carefully considered - putting the wellbeing of the team, humanity and the planet first. The team is friendly, supportive and diverse. The hours are manageable and flexible. I've had a great work-life balance since starting my role at Buttercup and I feel like I am contributing toward something which could have a really positive impact on the world.
