The concept.

The world of work is changing. Traditional recruitment and employment is rigid and over the last few years we’ve seen people start to challenge the status quo.

Conventional employment has led workers to question 'work versus life?' and forced them to choose one at the expense of the other. But things are changing. More and more, individuals are seeking work that complements their lifestyle and allows them to excel in both work and life simultaneously. limber exists to enable that choice. 

limber is a shift-working marketplace, initially targeting the hospitality sector, which empowers staff by giving them the flexibility and variety they want, all via an easy-to-use app. They can log in, pick up their shifts whenever suits them and work across a number of businesses. Workers receive pay weekly over the app, and limber takes care of all the necessary HMRC/pension worries for them.

For venues, limber provides access to a new generation of staff who are starting to say no to traditional employment. Empowered by the choice that limber affords them, limber workers are motivated and engaged. The two-way limber ratings system allows the platform to operate with transparency and trust, enabling the community to flourish.

And at the core of limber’s app is the ability for workers and hirers to build and maintain relationships with each other. And so, businesses on limber can attract and retain happy, engaged and quality staff without compromising consistency.

At the moment, limber is operating in Bristol, Bath and Cardiff, but watch this space...

The company.

limber is currently a super-small team. Chris (our CEO and founder) is an ex-hospitality manager and entrepreneur.

He also had a 6 year stint as a technology lawyer. Mark Pope (our CTO) worked at Oracle and Screen Time. When he's not in the office or talking about that-Iron-Man-he-completed-that-time, he's a father, garden-wall demolisher, and jigsaw enthusiast.

Rory (head of BD) worked at Vouchercloud and ran his own café for a time. He loves a game of chess and cooking a slap-up meal. Georgina is our ops guru. After a brief dabble in academia, she saw the light (out of the dusty library window) and emerged into the real world to join limber. Jasper (head of morale) is Chris' dog. He's a cockapoo. He's in the office. Enough said, really.

Together, we're a down-to-earth, friendly bunch who just like to get stuff done. We help each other out when needed, but also champion our own areas of the business. We'd like our team to grow, and can't wait to welcome new teammates who are excited about challenging the concept of work.
