    πŸ– Flexibility
We are a fully remote charity and we are all offered offered the opportunity to work in ways that support our needs. I currently work condensed hours in order to have every other Friday off - something that is common across the organisation. I have found my mental health has improved as well the ability to see my family, friends and parents more often (as they live a long train ride away). This allows the culture at The Girls' Network to be one of understanding and support, for all of our needs whatever they may be.

My team mates are incredible women, all with unique skills and talents but all immensely passionate and caring about each other and our mission. Despite working remotely, the sense of community in the organisation and amongst the team is something I've never come across before. I have never worked at an organisation that celebrates and supports women so brilliantly, not only in the work we do but throughout the team.

    😎 Autonomy
I have never been in a role where I have developed so quickly in the role. Being given autonomy from when I started my role has meant my confidence has increased dramatically. I found it incredibly empowering knowing that I have the full support and trust of my line manager and SLT to do my job effectively. I have felt so empowered that I have faced up to one of my biggest fears, public speaking, which I don't think would have been possible without the autonomy and support I have been given by my immediate team and across the charity.

    Overall

All the reasons above. I would have ticked more if I could have - the mission and purpose are really important and my role means I get to interact with professional women from corporates on a daily basis, all who understand what we do and why we exist. I feel incredibly supported and I have never developed (personally and professionally) so much, so quickly, in a role than I have in this one.

    πŸ– Flexibility
We manage our own diaries and are trusted to get the work done, as a mother this is invaluable to me and I never miss a school event for my daughter. It also means I can plan my day in a way that makes me more effective.

    πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§ Team members
By far the best part of the organisation, I have never worked in such a supportive team environment. Everyone genuinely cares about each other and our service users. There is space for everyone's voice and I feel like I am backed up by the most wonderful women. Despite us all working from home I have never felt more part of a team. We work together for the greater good.

    πŸ“£ Mission & Purpose
I never have to explain why we do what we do, people just get it. And in every role within the organisation you can see the direct positive impact your work has. We make decisions based on our core purpose and always coming back to that is our strength. We live our values.

    Overall

I feel like all my efforts are worth it and valued. I adore my colleagues and the flexibility is invaluable.
