UNICEF is the world's leading organisation working for children and their rights in more than 190 countries. Together with our partners, UNICEF delivers health care, nutrition, education and protection to children in urgent need, while working with governments to ensure they deliver on their promise to protect and promote the rights of every child.
UNICEF relies entirely on voluntary donations to support our vital work for children. We don't receive any money from the UN budget so your support is invaluable.
We live in a dangerous world. Every day children face violence, disease and hunger. They are battered by the chaos of war and disaster and forced to flee their homes. They are denied an education.
Yet with your support we have saved millions of children’s lives.
Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else.
For 70 years we have been there for children in danger. Unicef was created in 1946 to help protect children after World War 2 and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is the basis of all of our work. Today we’re still helping children in some of the world’s most dangerous places.
