All organisations exist to solve a problem, even McDonalds is feeding hungry people. But to solve some of the biggest problems out there, we need organisations working in a truly revolutionary way.
When creating the Escape 100 list we analysed companies against 6 criteria including mission and innovation. To assess a company's mission we used the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Framework of 17 key issues which most urgently need to be addressed for a socially and environmentally sustainable world. These issues such as poverty, hunger, education and climate action.
To assess a company's innovation, we looked at their industry as a whole to see how many people are out there doing the same thing. The truly innovative ones are those who are out there dancing to the beat of their own drum.
The following companies scored the highest on mission and innovation in the Escape 100. Read and enjoy knowing there are plenty of great companies out there doing great things for the world.
