7 organisations kicking ass as a B-Corp

Being a certified B Corporation means the organisation meets the highest standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. Here are 7 of our favourite B Corporations doing interesting things, and kicking ass.

We're proud to be part of an incredible network of organisations aiming to do better for the world. Being a certified B Corporation means the organisation meets the highest standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

When creating the Escape 100 list of best organisations to escape to in 2019, being a certified B Corporation was one of the 6 key criteria we measured organisations against. Here are 7 of our favourite B Corporations doing interesting things, and kicking ass.

Food production is the biggest contributor to climate change, but one-third of all food is wasted. Toast Ale is here to change that. They brew planet-saving beer with surplus fresh bread. By giving all profits to charity, they fund systemic change to fix the food system. Cheers to that.

Allplants believe that people’s everyday choices can change the world. In fact, eating a plant-based diet is the single most impactful thing you can do to lower your carbon footprint. So, allplants is here to make it easier (and tastier) to make a simple switch towards sustainable living. They make chef-prepared, delicious plant-based meals, freeze them fresh, and deliver them from their London kitchen to doorsteps UK-wide - making it irresistibly easy for people to switch up their diet a few days each week.
