Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Fiction Production Manager, the POD Production Assistant will be working within the Group Production team to upload titles, troubleshoot issues and report on the growing list of POD titles.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will confidently handle the identified titles within the agreed quality and lead-time requirements. As well as strong organisation and communication skills, we are looking for someone with tenacity and a keen eye for detail. You must be able to work to deadlines and be able to prioritise your workload.
Key Responsibilities
To work with the Inventory team and the POD vendors to ensure titles are available on schedule.
To maintain accurate records and data to be able to report to senior colleagues
To ensure quality standards are met through quality checking files and finished copies where appropriate
To resolve supplier queries and escalate as appropriate
To maintain communication with the Production Manager through the attendance of regular progress meetings, where the POD Production Assistant will be expected to advise on schedules and issues.
To manage relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers, ensuring that information is disseminated throughout the business in a clear and visible manner.
To maintain the Digital Asset Management system ensuring the upload of accurate files and information in a timely manner.
Person Specification
Competent IT skills and basic Excel knowledge
Experience of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Very well organised with excellent attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal / relationship building skills
Good communication skills – both written and oral
Ability to work independently using initiative
Calm individual with the ability to work well under pressure and a flexible, positive approach to problem solving
