About Us

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

We are now looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team at our head offices in The Old Police House in Hyde Park.

This is an exciting time to be joining The Royal Parks and we are seeking high calibre individuals with superb marketing and communications experience to lead our marketing activity.

The Role

As our Marketing Manager, you will take the lead in the marketing team, creating communications that connect us to our audiences and extend our reach to new audiences.

Joining the Communications, Marketing and Engagement Directorate, you will plan and deliver a range of brand awareness, fundraising and ad hoc support campaigns. You will aim to drive recognition, support income generation and enhance engagement with our volunteering schemes.

You will oversee work to better understand our audiences and their needs, support visitor experience activities and enhance customer journeys. Developing a marketing calendar and content pipelines, you will ensure the delivery of appropriate content across all channels and media.

Additionally, you will line manage a team of two, motivating and inspiring them to deliver on their objectives and providing relevant support, coaching and development to ensure an outstanding employee experience.


About You

To be considered as a Marketing Manager, you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in marketing and communications (ideally in the charity sector)
  • Proven experience in leading and delivering effective MarComms campaigns around events and activities
  • Experience in using audience segmentation to build out effective customer journeys
  • A strong understanding of evaluating ROI and incorporating a model for continuous improvement
  • Skills in leading and working effectively as part of a team
  • An understanding of how to analyse data and use it to inform decision-making and project planning
  • To be comfortable briefing senior management on issues and making recommendations

Experience of managing agencies effectively to deliver MarComms would be beneficial to your application. Social media and digital experience would also be advantageous.
