The Role – Assistant Management Accountant

We are currently scaling the finance team to support the ambitious growth plans of the company. You will be an integral part of a team supporting the whole business’ with a focus on the accounts payable function, month-end and reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone to join at an exciting time and support a critical function integral to Unmind's growth.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Own the Accounts Payable function for our global entities, and be the central point of contact for the business and senior leadership on all AP queries.
  • Develop processes to ensure timely processing of invoices, expense reports and payments from our banking systems.
  • Maintain the finance group’s inbox, ensuring suppliers and clients receive timely responses to queries.
  • Oversee the accurate posting of invoices and VAT documentation onto Xero accounts software for the group and it’s subsidiaries.
  • Prepare analysis for the wider business on departmental spend vs budget, update balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end reporting.

Skills and Experience

We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. However, some experience in the following is important for this position:

  • Numerate, with an understanding of accounting principles (part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Immaculate attention to detail
  • Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills
  • Previous Xero experience
  • Proficient user of excel, with good computer literacy
  • Passionate about mental health, tech-for-good, and generally improving people’s lives.
  • Comfortable working in an environment of rapid growth, constant change, and lots of unknowns.
  • Hungry to make Unmind the global category leader of workplace mental health.
