About you
Do you have a strong passion to make CFG’s teaching, learning and education offering more effective? If yes, this is a great opportunity for an Education & Learning professional to get involved with improving and developing our educational processes, training frameworks, selection processes and improving overall performance across CFG programmes.
You will have a keen interest in teaching, learning and education and a desire to change CFG’s current processes for the better! You will be bold and able to work autonomously, whilst being open to feedback and continuous improvement. You will be able to work in a fast-paced, small but high-performing sub-team and will love to learn.
About the role
Instructor development across CFG programmes
- Instructor Academy management under guidance of Head of Education and In-House Instructor team
- Instructor training on CFG teaching standards; safeguarding; diversity and inclusion; contractual obligations; relevant handbooks and course management software.
- Pathway selection and management - instructor academy; fast track; talent pool.
- Lead instructor training sessions; briefings and 1:1 interventions
- Grow talent pool to support future growth
- Monitor talent pool availability, competency and skill
- Identify areas of strength and development amongst new talent
Instructor performance management across CFG programmes
- Observations of instructors
- Record keeping of observations
- Audit current active instructors with training and guidance
- Feedback loops to instructors based on CFG teaching standards
- Communicate with CFG team and instructors
- Identify and implement early intervention
- Implement performance management policy
- Managing communication from students and instructors
- Escalating complaints to appropriate teams
Instructor selection across CFG programmes
- Application management
- Hireflix (video) review
- Tech assessment review and management
- Administrative duties; communications and automations
- Liaising with marketing team where necessary
- Content creator selection management
Confidence coach selection, training and development
- Confidence coach selection management
- Training and development of confidence coaches
- Assisting in creation of new resources
- Assisting and leading in both live and remote training sessions
- Mentoring confidence coaches where appropriate and necessary
- Fulfilling administrative tasks in relation to different process
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating teaching, learning and educational processes
- Solution focused with a track record of success
- Experience and understanding of up to date educational research
- Experience and understanding of effective teaching techniques, methods and strategies in relation to assessment, feedback and effective schema.
- Experience of facilitating and delivering engaging training workshops/classes
- Experience of project management, meeting deadlines and tracking budgets
- The ability to apply Education & Learning theory to everyday practice
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- A teaching qualification (or equivalent experience) is desired
- Experience of undertaking planning and developing a talent (instructor) pipeline is desired
The successful applicant in this role will have the opportunity to progress into a Manager role.

- Salary: £31k - £33k DOE + bonus
- Fully-funded place on the Code First Girls CFGdegree (market value £10,000)
- Free CFG courses (valued at £685 each)
