14/06 The Prince’s Trust philanthropy team are looking for an entrepreneurial, passionate, and motivated person who has a strong understanding of what motivates major philanthropists to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a hugely exciting time for the Principal Giving team, having recently embarked on a landmark philanthropy campaign, we are now growing the team. We are in a period of development at the start of the 50th Anniversary Campaign and you will have the opportunity to project manage substantial and exciting projects for high-value fundraising – examples your peers are currently leading in the team include developing the endowment fund and building greater co-working with our international sister charities. You will build high-value relationships with (£1m+) strategic funders of our work, creating your own portfolio as well as working with our committed influencer network and board to convert new supporters. Proactively and independently securing new income to help young people is a fundamental part of the role. This team is perfect for driven and versatile individuals. You will need to have a strong understanding of the organisation's direction and strategy and communicate this in a meaningful way for different audiences. You will also be comfortable presenting with personal credibility to senior personnel, cutting through challenges to approve and pitch transformational investment opportunities for young people, internally and externally. An ability to write compelling proposals/reports and synthesise complex information is a must – as well as a commitment to building warm and genuine relationships. You will be required to see our work first-hand with young people on a regular basis, ensuring our supporters experience our life-changing work with you.
