Data Analyst

Where this role fits in

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Data Analyst to work in our central Data team, a group of ~10 data analysts, data engineers and analytics engineers. The role will report into the Product Data Lead and will primarily support the Core, Savings & Investing and Support domains.

The team has recently deployed a new data platform built on Google Cloud and Tableau Cloud, where the bulk of analysis will be conducted using tools such as BigQuery, Tableau and Dataform. There may also be some work using other tools such as Mixpanel and Vertex AI. The successful candidate will develop analysis and reporting capabilities to deliver data insights required to measure, track and monitor new initiatives, product improvements, and overall company OKRs. You will be working with a wide variety of data such as card transactions, mobile app events, giftlink payments etc.

What you'll do

• Work with the Product team to understand, document and conduct relevant analysis
• Develop and implement data models
• Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies
• Interpret data, analyse results and provide ongoing reports
• Present results and insights to stakeholders
• Promote a strong data culture throughout the organisation, providing users with self-service tools, training and support

What we are looking for

Essential

• Very strong knowledge of SQL
• Experienced in creating and delivering reports/dashboards using business intelligence tools, with Tableau experience being highly desired
• Highly proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
• Experienced in data modeling and familiar with data warehousing concepts
• Should possess strong stakeholder management skills and be able to effectively present results and insights

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or a similar discipline
• Experience working in a B2C business
• Experience with a data transformation tool such as dbt, Airflow or Dataform
• Able to analyse and evaluate results of A/B tests, and provide plans of action based on the results
