Operations Manager

We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join our team.

(Note: This is a readvertisement. The role was originally advertised as a Senior Operations Associate) 

The Better Org is an organisational development consultancy combining a holistic and human-led engagement approach with the knowledge, insights, and evidence of practitioners, academics, and impacted communities to help social change organisations create cultures of care. Simply put, our mission at The Better Org is to build better organisations with care, commitment, and connection at their core. 

We are a Black woman led, mainly Global Majority organisation, with a small remote core team, and a community of remote Associates and Delivery Partners who work on a project basis. We partner with impactful organisations around the world, and having just celebrated our third birthday, we are looking forward to our next stage of growth and are excited to welcome in a new team member who will play a core role in our development. 

As the Operations Manager you will manage the operational core of TBO, ensuring that we have the right size internal systems, processes, and procedures that underpin our extensive and transformative work with our client organisations. You will also support the team with operational elements of client project delivery and will provide administrative support to the CEO. If you are someone who loves keeping things (and people!) organised, are values-led, and if you have a commitment to truly transforming the world of work, this could be the role for you. Further Details:

Annual Salary: £40,000 plus benefits, which include 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, office closures in July/August and over the December/January period, and an employee pension contribution. 

Contract Type: Full-time, on a permanent contract. 

Location: The role is remote, though on occasion you will need to travel to attend in person meetings and sessions with the team or clients. 

Working Pattern: We support asynchronous working patterns at TBO, so you have some flexibility to set hours that work for your personal circumstance, however, as our clients are based around the world, you would also need to have some flexibility with your availability as needed.
