What will you be doing?

We are looking for a volunteer who will help us in our aims fund more projects in our local areas. We require someone with experience in fundraising and bid writing in the voluntary sector.  Even though we are a small charity we want to make a big difference and would like to draw on your experience in the fundraising world to help us to grow and make even more of a difference to children and families affected by developmental trauma from adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). You will be working closely with the charity’s founder and CEO. The Primary objective of this role:

To raise financial support for our growing charity so that we can increase our positive impact across more of our local areas. Support and advise our current volunteers fundraising volunteers.

Could you provide support to a team who are:

Developing new and imaginative fundraising opportunities Project managing fundraising opportunities, from inception all the way through to evaluation Recruiting and promoting supporters and volunteers to increase our fundraising opportunities Developing a simple donor journey and stewardship plans to further engage supporters and give them opportunities to support the charity in other ways. Keeping in contact with past donors and fundraisers and assisting in finding new donors and fundraisers Providing reports and updates to the CEO and/or Trustee Board as needed on income, donors and fundraising plans

What are we looking for?

What are we looking for?   As a small charity our fundraising network has been small. However we now need experienced fundraisers to open up a wider range of fundraising opportunities in a planned and co-ordinated way, including maximising opportunities that arise. We are looking for people who have:

A passion for fundraising for small charities Able to work flexibly on your own and as part of a small team with enthusiasm and commitment. Proven track record in developing and delivering fundraising strategies Knowledge of good fundraising procedures for the voluntary sector Knowledge of current fundraising guidelines and legislation Proven ability in producing effective, and inspiring proposals and funding reports. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a diverse range of individuals, supporters, donors and volunteers Excellent organisational skills, with experience of proactive planning, managing deadlines and prioritising effectively Good computer skills and a willingness to be contacted via email and/or video chat Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team and organisation (we are not expecting in-depth knowledge of developmental trauma) Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements A commitment to the objectives and core values of Adenydd
