Volunteer Senior Advisor - Financial and Commercial Strategy

What will you be doing?

We are a Community Interest Company and social enterprise and you will be working directly with the Founder and Chairperson and a dedicated senior team.  We are looking for a seasoned and experienced professional to advise on the financial and commercial aspects of governance, management and operations and strategic direction.  Key Skills  To advise on key commercial, business and operational drivers. Key Skills:

Experienced professional leader at governance level with excellent ethical business acumen. Advising on research, design and control of diverse business operations, strategy and policy in line with ESG and CSR  Assistance to incorporate ESG and CSR into business at every level. Stakeholder & marketing strategy assessment and development Finance & profitability optimization  Sponsorship 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional inspired by our prizes and associated causes and who enjoys a challenge. The ideal person will possess good financial and commercial acumen ideally with previous governance level experience or transferable skills. A previous role with Challenge or Innovation Prizes would be a distinct advantage but not essential. The ideal person will have the credibility and experience to advise the Board, CEO and senior team on the strategic drivers of success including the design of our programme and project management and contributions to our 5 and 10 year strategic plans to facilitate the success of our Prize campaigns and Awards.  Candidate Specification: 

Advise on business and commercial operational strategy and plans Advise on strategic goals for performance and growth

Requirements

Proven experience ideally as a C-suite professional at governance level or a business owner or senior director or as senior consultant Good understanding of business strategy across finance, sponsorship and commercial operations. Excellent competency in strategic planning and business development Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

As Senior Advisor you will play a major role in advising on the design of the strategic and operational model on which to base the launch of our Prize campaigns and Awards with a special emphasis on youth.
