What will you be doing?
Turtle Dove Cambridge is a Community Interest Company which exists to provide supported work experience and educational opportunities for young women aged 14-24 who are or are at risk of not being in education, employment or training. We support young women who lack the confidence to gain training and employment due to negative life experiences. The director will work as part of the board who are responsible for contributing to the strategy, vision and mission of the organisation. Turtle Dove is looking for someone who is committed and enthusiastic to make a big difference within a small team. This position will require commitment to quarterly board meetings and a few hours of additional work per month. The director will work closely with the managing director to:
scope out funding opportunities, support with applying for bids and grants advise on fundraising efforts and developing fundraising partnerships collaborate with the communications team on the development of fundraising promotional material together with the communications coordinator, develop fundraising campaigns

We are seeking someone with experience in finance, knowledgeable about the non-profit sector and passionate about women's empowerment. Directors need to be able to work independently and proactively pursue new opportunities for the companies growth and improvement.
