Wholegrain Digital is a specialist WordPress agency and pioneers in the digital sustainability space, working with positive and purpose led organisations. We are proud to be a Certified B Corp since 2017 and our mission is to create the best websites in the world, use our business as a force for good, and use design and web technology to help accelerate the shift to a sustainable future. We declare a climate emergency. We are a living wage employer. We are leaders in greening the web. We are human and inclusive. We use our business as a force for good.

The role entails working to deliver, maintain, and improve world-leading sustainable WordPress websites for the mission aligned organisations we work with. Primarily you will be in and around the code. An important facet to this role will be evaluating websites against standards and confidently communicating findings alongside potential problems and solutions. This may be technically scoping and building a full site in an end-to-end project, doing similar for new or improved features of an existing site, or investing time building on internal projects.

Job requirements include extensive WordPress expertise, complimentary development experience, a positive perfectionist mindset, empathetic working approach, and a keenness for evaluating and communicating how websites meet set standards.

Benefits include flexible working, additional paid holiday if you use renewable energy at home and additional days for length of service, access to the SPILL mental health support platform with free access to therapy sessions, access to Santander bikes if you plan to use them, birthdays off, Climate Perks Days, discounts on events and exhibitions at Somerset House, and opportunities for learning and development by attending conferences and training courses for each employee.

The application process includes sending a cover letter and CV, an initial chat with one of our Technical Leads, an interview with one of our Technical Leads and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and a technical test to complete at home.
