We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Product Data Tech (PDT) team for the Sportscape group. You will assist the Head of Product Data Tech in achieving an immaculate shopping experience on the Sportscape e-commerce platform by using data, process, training and testing as a means of promoting quality merchandising. You will become an expert in supporting commercial teams across the group to achieve production objectives, and be a key point of contact for issues related to merchandising production. You will work within an already established 2-week sprint framework that is underpinned by quarterly OKR setting, working on tickets that either support on-going initiatives or help alleviate short-term pressures. A significant portion of this role involves the development of merchandising tools and associated documentation, as well as designing and delivering training to merchandising teams. You will develop your toolkit, becoming skilled in spreadsheet formula, SQL code writing, content management systems, version control and workflow management. At the request of the two business units within the group (SportPursuit and Private Sport Shop), you will help expedite instances of ‘mass change’ within our data, allowing commercial teams to meet their objectives more quickly. This will involve, but is not limited to, product categorisation and price changes within the product catalogue. In this visible role within the group, you will contribute to achieving group-level objectives as set out by executive leadership. You will take a proactive role in the delivery of these objectives and have the opportunity to deliver high-impact changes within the organisation. Requirements for this role include excellent written and verbal communication, fluent in English, strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to understand complex designs, ‘Beyond basic’ spreadsheet formula skills (vlookup, index/match/match, string formula). We offer a friendly and dynamic working environment with a Core Hours working pattern! Our core Hours are 10am-4pm. Make up the rest of your time when you like.
