What will you be doing?
About Us:We are a charity dedicated to empowering individuals affected by trauma through somatic techniques such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and TTT (Trauma Tapping Technique), and trauma-informed practices. Our work fosters emotional competence and resilience in people with complex histories, helping them overcome cycles of incarceration, addiction, and emotional dysregulation. Role Overview:You will conceptualise and design a booklet for The Academy. We will provide you with all the information regarding the project, and will require you to visually convey its scope and characteristics. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills to a meaningful project that positively impacts lives. Key Responsibilities:
Booklet Design:
Develop a visually appealing layout and design for The Academy booklet. Ensure the booklet aligns with our brand identity, mission, and trauma-informed ethos. Use engaging visuals, infographics, and typography to enhance understanding of complex concepts.
Collaboration:
Work with our team to understand content, tone, and audience needs. Incorporate feedback and revisions into design drafts.
Accessibility:
Ensure designs are inclusive and accessible to a diverse audience, including those with trauma histories.
Project Management:
Manage timelines and deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.
What are we looking for?
Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience in graphic design, ideally with booklets, brochures, or similar materials. Proficiency in design software. Understanding of layout design, typography, and visual storytelling. Ability to balance creativity with the practicalities of content clarity and structure. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently while being receptive to team input.
