ISSOS is looking for an English Teacher to provide an exciting and challenging syllabus where students can improve their conversational skills, including their grasp of colloquial language, develop their understanding and use of grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and listening skills.
The role involves teaching a class of international students, 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, for the duration of the 3 week programme. You will be responsible for creating and executing interesting and engaging lesson plans, providing students with lessons tailored to their English ability, and taking part in evening activities on a compulsory rota basis.
Job requirements include a CELTA, certTESOL or equivalent ESL/EFL qualification, and previous teaching experience is essential. Experience in teaching international students is preferred. You must be a clear and effective communicator, enthusiastic and self motivated, passionate about instilling a love for your subject in your students, and a team player who is willing to be involved in the wider summer school programme.
The job involves working at our campuses in St Andrews, Cambridge, and Yale. The session dates are as follows: St Andrews: Wednesday 25th June - Thursday 14th August 2025, Cambridge: Saturday 5th July - Thursday 31st August 2025, Yale: Wednesday 9th July - Monday 4th August 2025.
The salary for the session is £2100 GBP, with up to £150 reimbursed for travel to/from Cambridge. Accommodation and meals are provided in the halls of residence once students arrive, however, staff are responsible for their meals during Orientation.

All of our staff must pass a full criminal background check, and we provide full bed and board for you at our campuses, plus fixed payment. All staff are required to be on duty (on a rota basis) for evening programmes, activities, day trips and arrival/departure days.
