Role Summary

  • Role Requirements

    • Must hold qualification as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales
    • Minimum of five years of post-qualification experience, with a specialization in contentious employment law
    • Proven experience working with both internal stakeholders and external partners
    • Comprehensive understanding of legal risk and efficient management of the same
    • A passion for social change and the utilization of law as a tool for the same.

Good Law Project is an organization that is taking on increasing amounts of pro bono employment tribunal work, including acting for victims of sexual assault in the workplace and those sacked for speaking uncomfortable truths.

The role of Senior Associate – Employment Law will be responsible for sourcing, advising and acting in employment tribunal cases that speak to Good Law Project’s values.

Job requirements include qualification as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales, five years post qualification experience as a solicitor or barrister with a specialism in contentious employment law, experience of working with internal stakeholders and external partners, including instructing Counsel or external Solicitors where necessary, a good understanding of legal risk and how to manage it, and an interest in social change and how the law can be used to deliver it.

The role is a full-time role with a fixed term 12-month contract and offers hybrid working. The postholder will be expected to attend our office in central London regularly – minimum of 2/3 days per week.
