What will you be doing?
We're a charity supporting individuals who have experienced homelessness. Our companions are central to our ethos and success. Overall role of the Treasurer is to maintain an overview of the charity’s affairs, safeguarding its financial viability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained. Chairing the Enterprise and Finance Committee (a subcommittee of the board) in line with its terms of reference and delegated responsibilities is the role you would play. These include the scrutiny of financial and risk management by the executive team, and leading on the budget approval and audit process. Reporting the outcomes of the Enterprise and Finance Committee meetings to the Board of Trustees. Making recommendations to the Board on financial and risk management matters, whilst working alongside our finance officer acting as contact between the executive team and trustees. Acting as a counter signatory for online payments and applications to funders and ensuring that annual accounts are submitted to all relevant regulators in a timely fashion. ·
The Board meets bi-monthly at the Old Vicarage in Coventry or via video where required. The Enterprise and Finance Committee meets alternately bi-monthly.
