About the role

Our Training team are dedicated experts, guiding our schools through remote and onsite sessions, setting them up for success using Arbor’s Management Information System (MIS). This is a freelance position to support us during a time when we are facilitating the onboarding of a record number of schools who have chosen a better way to work!

In this role you will work with key school staff to ensure successful use of the platform, specifically our Primary Assessments modules, by delivering consultative, informative and engaging training sessions.

If you love presenting to a variety of groups and high level stakeholders and are able to articulate technical software concepts to technical and non-technical staff, then this could be the role for you!

Core responsibilities

  • Effectively communicating to a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ability to pitch training appropriately to the user and deliver this in a concise way which is understood by the recipient, allowing a range of users to become experts in their required areas of the system.
  • Having an in-depth understanding of Arbor’s functionality, features, best practice and being able to articulate these to customers to help them get the most out of their use of Arbor.
  • Excellent organisational skills - you will be juggling a range of schools, training sessions and in different locations.
  • Keeping up to date with a fast paced product, including updates, changes to legislation and adapting to new processes as we scale.
  • To develop assessment training plans with the wider team
  • Ability to self-reflect, feeding back to relevant members of the team internally an overview of the session and any outstanding actions to ensure the customer receives a well rounded experience.
  • Willing to travel to national client sites between 1-4 days per week

About you

  • School assessment guru, working within a school setting in SLT or Curriculum Lead type positions.
  • Relevant background in the education sector. We are looking for people who are familiar with the terminology, MIS software, processes within a secondary school, particularly around assessments, and can hit the ground running.
  • Driving license required
  • Ability to understand and articulate technology to a range of individuals, including non-technical users
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential.
  • Have a positive approach to learning new things, troubleshoot potential issues, consult and help provide solutions.
  • Friendly, eager to get stuck in and always willing to help.
  • Good sense of humour and able to inspire others.

What we offer

  • In this role we offer true flexibility to cater around your life and circumstances.
  • This role will also be mostly remote, so we are open to candidates throughout the UK with a full working from home set up.
  • Working with a dedicated team of like minded individuals who genuinely care about user adoption and schools making the most out of Arbor.
  • The chance to learn from a diverse team, opportunity to grow in a commercial setting and having fun along the way!

The safety and wellbeing of everyone is our number one priority. Therefore we will visit customers when schools are adapted to their new ways of working and are ready to welcome us. Therefore these sessions will mostly be remote
