We're looking for someone who is happy to be hands-on where necessary, but is also strategic and able to produce finance models, Board packs, and reports and insights. We’re additionally looking for someone who has experience in managing content subscriptions for a SaaS product.

We’re happy to explore a range of different working patterns - please just let us know what you’re looking for when applying!

Responsibilities

Here's some of things you'll be be supporting:

  • Managing the accounting and bookkeeping process, working closely with our external accountants where necessary, and/or bringing things in-house if it makes sense to.

  • Being the point of contact to resolve any subscription/payment issues - putting processes in place to ensure this scales as we grow.
  • Helping to design and implement the requirements and processes for B2B2C subscription fees.
  • Maintaining the company’s financial forecast model and reporting regularly on revenue, cashflow and expenditure. Partnering with key stakeholders across the company to ensure that the modelling assumptions are reasonable and current.
  • Producing reports and providing insights that inform the company on key metrics such cost per property acquisition, return on investment per property, average booking value, member LTV etc. Providing recommendations on how to leverage or optimise these metrics.
  • Preparing Board packs and supporting with other investment related activities e.g. EMI options, due diligence etc.
  • Applying for R&D tax credits and other innovation grants.
  • Supporting on strategic tasks related to VAT, international set-up, and fundraising (with support from advisors where required).

  • Experience using and setting up Xero and Stripe to handle subscriptions.
  • Experience with B2C and B2B2C (preferred).
  • Strong analytic ability, good understanding of SaaS business metrics, and a proficiency in GoogleSheets.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications.

In addition, here are the core attributes we think you'll need to succeed in the role:

  • Analytical - you are comfortable manipulating and presenting data in a way that has meaning for non-financial team members.
