We're looking for a new team member to join our London HQ and help support our growing network of franchisees around the world. We're hoping to find someone who can join our team in August.
Our franchisees are the lifeblood of our business. They are individuals and teams who take our concept, brand, business infrastructure and know-how to create a Hotpod Yoga business in their local area.
We work very closely with our franchisees - we help them with the business planning, we provide them with extensive training and we work side-by-side with them throughout their journey. We push ourselves to provide the very best business environment for them - through great technology, proven best practice, smart use of data and a strong brand. But, above all of that we're also on-hand to share our experience and expertise on an ongoing basis - advising around all key business functions to maximise the success of their business.
We may be a yoga business, but we’re a long way from what you may be imagining. Founded by a management consultant, our business is built on smart use of data, technology and constant analysis. The majority of our existing franchisees are running businesses with revenues in the region of £100k-£260k.
What does it involve?
This role is all about forming close relationships with franchisees and helping them to build their businesses. Armed with an understanding of our best practices developed over the last 10 years, you'd be responsible for rolling out solutions, and providing day-to-day support to franchisees as they grow their businesses. It's high-pressure, high-satisfaction and very multi-faceted.
Once it’s possible to do so, fairly frequent travel within the UK will be required - approximately 15% of the time. Otherwise this role will be based in our Brixton office. We're open to flexible working, but expect our team to be in the office or in our studios at least 3 days per week. You can find out more about working for Hotpod Yoga here.
Key focal areas:
- Managing our relationship with a group of franchisees
- Coordinating with the wider HQ team who will develop campaigns, solutions and advice that you will then roll out to the network
- Day to day support and troubleshooting for the franchise network
- Collecting feedback from franchisees and reporting back to the HQ team to improve our offering
- Developing the franchise infrastructure and environment; we pride ourselves on constant innovation and improvement, and as we grow it’s particularly crucial that we’re improving our systems to keep pace.
Who's it for?
Hotpod yoga is a fast growth, exciting business - we're ambitious, driven and passionate about what we do. We want team members to share that ambition with us and be motivated to grow a great business - with our franchisees at the core of that. We're a yoga business (obviously), and we all love a bit of yoga, but we're not evangelical... being a yoga obsessive isn't a prerequisite - but it’s probably helpful if it’s something you can get interested in and passionate about (you’ll be surrounded by it, after all!)
While specific prior experience isn’t essential, you must be comfortable with giving support and advice; someone empathetic who can build confidence and trust with a broad range of people through strong communication and good relationship-building.
A positive problem-solving attitude is also key. You’ll need to work with franchisees to help signpost solutions to common issues and help them look for opportunities for growth.
Finally some commercial experience would be beneficial - if you’re comfortable looking at P&L and building a simple cash flow forecast then you’ll be off to a good start.
