We are looking for tutors who meet the following specifications:
- KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE/Functional Skills, A-Level tutors for 1:1 tuition - all subject levels required
- Experience teaching core subjects (English, Maths and Science) preferred
- In-person and online
- In-person tutors urgently needed in Birmingham, Norfolk, Bristol, Bath, Thurrock and Reading
- Available during school hours and/or after school
- Must have QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working with SEND and/or Children Looked After
Who is Equal Education?
Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After and those with Special Educational Needs (SEND). We have almost 10 years experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with 180+ schools and Local Authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually. We are a member of the Fair Education Alliance and we are an Approved Tuition Partner of the National Tutoring Programme.

Skills and Experience:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience with mentoring beneficial but not essential
• Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people with a range of needs and communication styles
• Experience in using creativity and tenacity to engage students who may have disengaged from mainstream schooling
• Ability to work in close communication with other professionals and stakeholders, and the ability to tailor provision based on information provided in documentation such as an Educational Health and Care Plan.
• Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and experience in supporting children to self-regulate emotions
• Valid Enhanced DBS check
• Excellent written communication, timekeeping, reliability, and timely reporting
