Organic Herb Trading have been growing, sourcing and supplying the UK’s largest range of high-quality organic botanicals for almost 40 years for a diverse range of customers – in the herbal tea, food, skincare and medicinal markets. During this time we have built up longstanding, mutually beneficial relationships with organic herb, spice and botanical suppliers all over the world – from Guatemala to Zanzibar, Bosnia to Madagascar. Our customers range from individual practitioners to the most respected global organic brands including Yeo Valley, Pukka Herbs, Neal’s Yard Remedies and Riverford Organic.
We are now looking for an experienced Finance Manager to develop both the financial and commercial reporting, in line with a more automated world. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our senior management team and will be key to improving processes and efficiencies around reporting, sales, and cost management. The role also involves direct management of the finance and HR team developing individual and departmental growth and accountability.
The successful candidate will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and must have the following skills:

· Strong leadership
· Sound knowledge of accounting foundations
· Audit experience
· Compliance orientated
· Proficient in accounts software including SAGE
· Strong analytical skills
· Ethical mindset

The Senior Management team are well established and are looking for someone to come in and make their mark to support the continued growth of Organic Herb Trading and identify commercial opportunities.
The role would suit someone who is looking to be part of something which has autonomy over time whilst being able to get involved across the organisation with sales, commercial and operations, working towards becoming an influential lead in the business.
This role is permanent, working 3 days per week (days to be agreed at offer stage), based at our Milverton office in Somerset. We are in a rural location, so your own transport is strongly recommended.
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (pro-rated) per annum depending on skills and experience.
