The Institute Administrator role provides administration as well as project support for the Marshall Institute across its operations. This includes the planning and implementation of a range of events, office and facilities management, management team support and supporting the institute’s governance processes and communications.

The Institute Administrator role offers considerable scope for the development of responsibilities to expand your current skill set in the areas of executive support, the administration and management of a research and teaching institute, as well as in event management, and communications support. As a key member of the team your initiative and creativity will be crucial to ensuring the smooth running of the Marshall Institute and the success of its operation.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Administrative experience with a particular focus on diary and travel management
  • Experience of event management
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task and work to deadline
  • Demonstrable motivation to work in an administrative role in higher education and identification with the aims of the Marshall Institute
  • Ability to provide a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of working in the higher education sector, including teaching and research administration (desirable)
