Head of Partnerships
Salary + commission + equity (core team role)
We are looking for a highly motivated, purpose-driven individual to work with us on business development and creating and managing partnerships.
This is an exciting role to shape the future of tech, through inspiring millions of children to learn digital skills with our multi-award winning platform.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in forming partnerships to drive revenue growth in the education or social impact sector - preferably having worked at a startup before. We're looking for someone with excellent writing and presentation skills, excited about working in a small creative team with huge potential for growth.
We’re hoping this might be you!
Our mission:
We’re on a mission to inspire every child to want to code and create, and to change the world for young girls who believe that learning to code is more for boys.
We are doing this by encouraging kids aged 8-12 to learn professional digital skills via Erase All Kittens, a web-based adventure game combining coding, storytelling and fun ‘Mario-style’ gameplay. We’re also now building a new product to revolutionize coding for kids in schools worldwide, with the support of organisations including Google and MIT.
Our free-to-play version has over 200,000 unique players and we’ve raised over £1M in investment and grants to build a more gamified platform. Our aim is to inspire 1 million girls to code by 2026.
We're searching for someone who can identify revenue growth opportunities, develop commercial partnerships (e.g. with homeschooling and parent groups, tech companies, banks, governments) write brilliant proposals and presentations, close deals, and manage relationships.
Your role:
- Identifying and researching potential partners and sponsors, generating interest - outreach via email, phone and social media
- Crafting strategies for commercial and corporate partnerships which will bring in revenue and create global impact
- Setting KPIs for all sales-related activities
- Developing partnerships and sponsorships - creating initial proposals, presenting, negotiating and managing partner relations
- Forecasting, measuring, and reporting the results of various projects with partners
- Collaborating with the CEO and other members of the team to align internal goals with new and existing relationships
- Assisting the CEO with other fundraising activities
- Maintaining strong industry awareness to direct partner strategies, occasionally attending industry events
You will be critical in bringing our vision to life, with a view towards a leadership position in the company.
This role reports to the founder and CEO. You'll have the option to work from our co-working space in London for 1-2 days per week, or fully remotely - being contactable during working hours through the use of Slack and Google Meet. We’re open to flexible hours if required.
We work remotely and from Huckletree, bright co-working spaces in London with a great culture and regular events.
