Careers at Plexal

We're building a community of startups working in areas likes fintech, healthtech, cybersecurity, IoT, VR, AI and more while our innovation services team delivers training, workshops and accelerator programmes for both corporate and startup clients.

If you're a member, you get access to a hot desk, fixed desk or private office as well as on-site professional services to support you in everything from marketing to recruitment, basically anything a busy innovator needs.

And because we believe in the power of collaboration, we've designed our workspace as a mini-city (we even have our own high street, indoor park and prototyping workshop stocked with 3D printers) to encourage members to bump into each other and make new connections.

So come and see a different kind of workspace: an inspiring mini-city that's about much more than just fast WiFi, good coffee, free pizza and networking events (though we do have all that too).

  • Diversity & Inclusion

Our Community Respect Charter came around after our Black History month event last October where our CEO hosted a panel about Unconscious Bias. It sparked a series of conversations about what we can be doing ourselves as a community and our responsibility to provide an example and set a tone. It posed the question, what could Plexal be doing to champion equality in our company and others. We organised a round table with our members and 'leaders of this movement' to get their opinion on implementing a charter after which we launched the charter at our Pride Panel event this year. Our virtual events programme and social activities which have included meetups for founders, women in business and our LGBTQ+ members which brings our community together. We host regular unconscious bias training for our community and employees.

  • Accessibility and Inclusion

Accessibility and inclusion have been priorities for Plexal in the last year. As a delivery partner for the East London Inclusive Enterprise Zone (ELIEZ). Plexal is now accessible for people with a range of seen and unseen disabilities by introducing height- adjustable desks, improving the acoustics of our main hot-desking zone and many more subtle but impactful changes. Being part of an inclusive innovation ecosystem at Here East has meant that we’ve made these changes collectively, sharing insights, ideas and expertise. It’s so important to us that Plexal is a place that all innovators can access. This helped Plexal to become a place where disabled and non-disabled innovators collaborate, co-create solutions and shape the future of inclusive innovation. Plexal and Disability Rights UK, together with Sport England, host events at Plexal to showcase the growing evidence base of Disability Rights UK’s Get Yourself Active programme.

  • Health insurance

As part of our benefits package, we offer all our employees private medical scheme.
