About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Bid Writer to join our Bid Writing team to help expand Beam’s work, win more contracts and ultimately support more people on their life-changing journeys into jobs and stable housing.
You’ll spend most of your time deep in the detail of bid writing, but you’ll also surface to share key trends you’ve identified across the bids you’re writing and contribute to Beam’s expansion strategy.
While your primary role will be writing winning bids, you’ll have opportunities to dabble in analytics, communications, finance and organisational strategy depending on your development interests. You’ll also play a mentoring role to our more junior Bid Writers, helping them develop their bid writing skills. It’s a great role for people who have had 1-2 years of bid writing, copywriting or business writing experience and are eager to use their talents for good.

- A bid writing master, pushing out high-quality applications for departments across government
- An integral member of the Bid Writing team, leading on bid writing but also contributing to the team’s expansion strategy
- The go-to person across Beam for submitting high-quality written work, including formal bid applications, grant applications, business cases, and much more!
